Our client lived in an older style house in an established suburb in Sydney. He wanted to capture the style and detail of the existing house architecture and commissioned Impala to design and build a kitchen in keeping with this. Opulent finishes were also in the brief. Impala designed display doors in the island and wall cabinets reflecting the home’s window and door shapes. Consideration to functionality was also paramount as the client loves to cook. Two sinks were installed; one in the timber island top and another butler sink under a window with a stone bench top for washing up. Marble was used as a feature; however, not in the kitchen preparation zone, where a more functional timber bench top was installed.
