“Our clients wanted to create a modern kitchen with smooth, clean lines that felt large and open despite being surrounded by four walls and a narrow entrance. Large floor tiles and glossy panels open up the space and suit the modern colour palette perfectly. We decided to create a window splashback on the wall behind the cooktop to let in more light and to become a feature on its own.
A perpendicular bar was installed in the middle of the island to create both seating and space in the confined area, and to provide a natural entrance to the kitchen. The room opens onto a pool and entertaining area that brings the outside in and makes the kitchen appear even larger. A walk-in pantry was also included to provide more room for meal preparation and entertaining.
Extra care and planning were given to the room’s dimensions to create this contemporary, relaxing and glossy kitchen.”
