This lovely family home is located is leafy habourside suburb of Hunter Hills.
The family liked the layout of their current kitchen, but it needed a refresh. With timber doors and angled cabinetry, the kitchen was dated. Clients wanted to keep the existing floor as well, so the new kitchen needed to work with the terracotta tiles. Impala Designer Tim Whitemen also had the added challenge of work with a structure post that could not be removed.
The end result is a lovely fresh white kitchen, with texture tiles and painted wall giving warmth and interest. To maximise space and ensure the functionality of the kitchen Tim added a under bench pantry, a Le-Mans (lazy Suzanne) corner unit and a step-in pantry. The addition of a steam oven built into the island bench ensured cabinet space wasn’t lost and new modern cooking practices could be enjoyed.
