Located on Sydney’s foreshores this pretty apartment’s kitchen was in need of an update.
The previous kitchen had many cupboards and a deep pantry which were difficult to access and things would always be getting “lost”. The high bench meant that the kitchen was cut off from the rest of the living space and dining room. And there wasn’t enough storage space.
Impala Designer Tim Whiteman worked closely to understand the clients’ needs. While the footprint of the kitchen stayed the same Tim created a design that would address the clients concerns and needs.
Firstly, drawers were introduced on full extension runners for easy access, eliminating those hard-to-reach places and fully utilizing the cabinet space. To address the deep pantry Tim included pantry drawers, a real game changer with regards to organisation. Also incorporated were propose built items such as bin drawer and cutlery trays
A beautiful 900x38000mm bench was introduced, opening the kitchen to the rest of the apartment. This lovely wide bench help address the storage issue by allowing additional cupboards to be added to the front of the bench.
The clients wanted classic finishes that wouldn’t date. Timeless shaker door profile was used with Caesarstone Empira White on the bench tops and splash back. We love the sliver handles, they complemented the stove and fridge finishes.
