Monochrome, stylish & timeless
Sometimes forgoing colour for a classic palette can really pay off.
This lovely family home is taken to the next level of chic with its classic black and white
palette.
Located in the heart of Sydney’s trendy Paddington, our client took a dated 2-bedroom semi
and reconfigured the space to design a gorgeous 4-bedroom home. But space was limited,
so smart design and great joinery had to be utilised to maximise the space.
Gorgeous classic cabinetry has been selected, with shaker doors and detailed paneling used
throughout the home, ensuring cohesion. Smart space saving ideas were used, such as the
under the stair laundry and wardrobes custom built into the eaves of the home.
The kitchen sits in the heart of the home, it’s the first place you walk into and where most of
the family activity takes place. Therefore, it needed to be striking and highly functional for
this young family of four. Statement black island with gorgeous stone top bench greets you.
The kitchen is kept simple with handless overhead cupboards with great space saving
joinery used to keep the bench clutter free.
Smart, custom wardrobes designed to ensure all space was utilised, even under the eaves.
Custom built drawers were built around windows to allow in maximum light, eliminating the
need for additional pieces of storage furniture such as chest drawer or tallboys. Allow the
space to be clutter free.
We love the under the stair laundry, tucked away to look just like a wall, this space that
otherwise would be wasted.
Timber look tiles, laid in a classic Chevron pattern that runs the length of the home,
softening the monochrome palette, adding visual interest to this gorgeous family home.
