Our client was under-taking significant renovation and building works to a semi-terraced house. The extension involved opening the back of the dwelling and creating an open place area for the kitchen, dining and living space. The brief was a crisp, white kitchen to suit the new contemporary home.
Impala designed an L-shaped kitchen with an island unit. The kitchen feature is the full-length window along the right hand side, featuring the clients’ garden. Under cabinet lighting was installed in all over head cabinets to provide ample task light. A Miele double oven and microwave tower was placed next to the fridge and on the other side, a tall pantry was installed. Stainless steel kickboards and handles add to the contemporary look and complement the stainless steel appliances. The overhead cabinets are kept simple with no handles.
A clean, crisp stone bench top and splashback was installed with waterfall ends on either side of the island unit and at the end of the cabinets facing the living room.
The result is a gorgeous kitchen mixing straight lines and simple white hues to create a modern, cool space.
