From dark and dated to breezy crowd-pleasing spaces with timeless appeal in robust finishes to suit life by the sea. The existing layout was boxed in and blocked the amazing views from Putty Beach to Palm Beach. Cut off from the adjoining living areas, the kitchen had no flow to the alfresco entertaining area overlooking the beach and bush.
Neutral colours and quiet fixtures let your gaze be drawn to the leafy treetop vista and coastal views beyond. A refined coastal style with a limited palette of soft colours reminiscent of the bush and sea were chosen with an organic footprint, whitewashed wooden floors, ribbed panelling and swirling curved stone benchtops.
The stone continues to full height and the subtle stone detail on the range hood adds understated elegance. The sink was placed under the window so the island is uninterrupted for entertaining.
The hidden appliance pantry houses tea and coffee making appliances out of sight , keeping the benchtop clear and clutter free.
Fingerpulls were chosen to add an understated detail that is highly functional. The Arabescato Borghini engineered stone from Talostone was chosen for it’s dramatic but refined veining that delivers impact but gently fits in to the restrained colour scheme.
