Modern Country styling created a kitchen with character filled charm. The owners wanted the house to feel lived in with a lot more storage and to make the most of the bright leafy outlook.
The client wanted:
The kitchen was relocated to the back of the home which previously housed an awkward laundry and tiny unused powder room. The reimagined footprint provides connection to the outdoor entertaining area and poolside oasis.
Walls were removed and glass doors installed to open up to the northerly aspect making the kitchen airy and spacious.
A table style island lets the family gather for meals, shared food preparation, homework and entertaining. A classic neutral indigo with V grooves gives the kitchen a modern country feel without being fussy or high maintenance.
Pretty pale blue tiles are on trend and make a great backdrop for the simple white benchtop chosen for it’s practicality and cost effectiveness. White shaker cabinetry keeps the space bright and airy pops of colour add personality and style.
The laundry now resides behind wingline doors and the addition of a hidden walk in pantry behind a sliding door increases the storage for appliances and drygoods exponentially.
