Impalas’ client lived in a full brick federation style house in Sydney’s north west. Our client was not doing extensive renovations, she just wanted to update her kitchen. The home had timber features throughout and this was to be continued in the kitchen space. The brief was to design a french provincial style kitchen, incorporating lots of storage and modern appliances. Impala designed detailed capping and corbels and built a mantle to house a large upright stove. Cabinets were built to the ceiling to maximise storage. The focal point of the kitchen is the generously thick timber benchtop which was polished and sealed to provide a functional work counter.
