Our client was renovating a heritage listed house on Sydney’s lower north shore. The house was a traditional, federation style with lead lights, ornate ceilings, original timber floor boards, detailed cornices and high skirting boards. The client wanted to renovate with the home’s architecture in mind. The client requested Impala to design a detailed federation style kitchen with luxurious finishes such as a granite top and detailed handpainted doors. A butler’s sink was requested as were mesh-fronted display cabinets, proud kickboards and pilasters. The wardrobes were to match the existing style of the home and were to appear as hall panelling. These were also handpainted. Bedroom wardrobes were designed with the home’s period character in mind.
