A home in leafy Lindfield with a heritage past had a cool, contemporary facelift to bring modern living to this gorgeous old building. The owners wanted a modern feel that sat peacefully in their federation home. An awkward laundry was too small for the five-bedroom house and was ugly off the dining room so was moved into an unused study.
The client wanted:
Part of an extensive renovation, an unused study was turned into a spacious laundry and powder room.
A ribbed glass barn door provides a roomy entrance and allows natural light to flow into the centre of the house.
The same narrow profile shaker doors were used as in the kitchen for continuity. Stone drawer fronts and floating shelf on the vanity makes the powder room feel luxurious and streamlined.
The herringbone laid floor tiles are porcelain to provide a low maintenance. A lot of effort was taken to find a natural looking tile.
