Impala’s clients were a older couple looking to renovate their ensuite and main bathroom. Impala had already done their kitchen and the next step in renovating their home was the bathrooms. They were looking for a company to design the bathrooms, manufacture the cabinets and to manage the associated works.
Some considerations in the brief were :
Updating the colour scheme
Installing a new bath tub in the main bathroom with a bath hob and feature tiling behind
Design and install joinery to fit the space perfectly
Wall hung vanities were specified by the client
Easy of cleaning was important to the client so tile selection was important for not only appearance but ease of care
The client wanted to incorporate concealed toilets for ease of cleaning
Impala designed the ensuite and main bathroom with a common colour scheme. Polyurethane floating vanities were designed with matching mirrored shaving cabinets above to facilitate storage. Frameless showerscreens with no hobs were installed and concealed cistern toilets were incorporated into the bathroom design for ease of cleaning. Travertine tiles were selected on the floor and ceramic tiles on the walls. A chocolate tile was chosen as a feature wall, in lieu of boarder or feature tiles, to make cleaning easier and to ensure the bathroom remains contemporary for years to come.
