Purchasing and renovating throughout the pandemic had it‘s challenges but this rural
retreat is a calm oasis on it‘s own beautiful bush block. Robust timber finishes mix with the
luxury of natural stone to bring a harmonious balance to this modern country kitchen.
The client wanted:
The green of the marble benchtop and splashback ties in with the curved sage feature hood
and matching stools bringing connection to the verdant rural outlook.
Chunky timber legs are offset by the gold metal shadowline and timber ribbed panels add
interest and echo the ribbed glass used as a feature in the joinery.
The stone clad fireplace adds warmth to the room, both figuratively and literally, and divides
the kitchen from the sitting area.
Sliding glass doors were installed to open the kitchen up to the alfresco entertaining area
and pool. The black fireclay sink is a feature and very practical for a relaxed country lifestyle.
The inclusion of a fully functional butlers pantry with baking, wine storage, extra sink and
maximum drygood storage makes the main kitchen easy to keep clutterfree. Appliances are
at hand and easy to use with plenty of benchspace.
Easy access is through a black framed, ribbed glass sliding door that allows light to spill
through but hides any mess. The Butler’s Pantry has light filled views to the gardens outside
making it a pleasant and functional place in which to work.
