“The owners wanted a warm, inviting kitchen that would suit their growing young family, but could still be used for entertaining. The kitchen was relocated to the back of the house to take advantage of the water views and have access to a large new deck. As the owners regularly host functions, a separate butler’s pantry was essential in creating adequate storage and preparation space. The stripped, exposed brickwork is the defining classic feature of the space and influenced the selection of the pared-back Shaker-style cabinets, exposed sliding door and rustic pendant lights. The use of decorative moulding under the benchtop enhances the traditional look of the marble-effect quartz benches, while the softness and warmth of the stripped brickwork makes the kitchen a welcoming space for family and friends. The spectacular water views add luxury to this classic-style kitchen with rustic architectural features.”
