We had the opportunity to re-create this kitchen from the ground up in order to solve the problem of the existing kitchen being awkwardly located, unattractive and dysfunctional. So the original kitchen was transformed into a TV/lounge area and walls were demolished to open up another room located on the lower level to create the new kitchen. The new room is open plan and located in a large, open space with a design that makes it the centrepiece of the home. An existing fireplace was incorporated into the design of the new kitchen and the area clad in a manufactured stone called Random Ashlar from Eco Concepts which has turned it into a stunning feature. The homeowners are keen entertainers with a large extended family so the relocation of the kitchen to the same level as the dining and outdoor areas has created the perfect entertaining space.
