Impala’s clients were in Sydney’s south and were renovating a freestanding older style cottage. They briefed Impala to design a kitchen with warmth and character in keeping with their home and to provide plenty of storage space. There were several long walls in the kitchen space, so Impala recommended a mantle be installed for the cooktop and oven to break up the wall and add interest to the space. Along the other large wall, Impala installed an integrated fridge, tall pantry cabinets and an appliance cabinet which extends to the ceiling. A warm antique white colour was selected for the doors and contrasting black for the stone bench top. Striking wrought iron handles were used to balance the kitchen design.
