Historical Haberfield

This traditional home in Haberfield needed a renovation to provide a workable size kitchen. With a radical reinvention of the footprint, the kitchen was relocated to provide this wonderful and functional working space.

With stunning stone and a soothing natural palette that echoes the native garden outside, the kitchen blends harmoniously with the heritage features but is a contemporary addition to the home.

The practical appliance zone keeps the kitchen benchtops clutter-free. The clever layout makes the most of what was a difficult space.

The stunning feature tiles were used on the splashback and under on the island bench to add interest and texture. They harmonise with the natural stone benchtops beautifully and were used as a feature on the island bench to create a cohesive aesthetic.

A small dining area was included to make the most of the garden outlook. The feature light and retro feel suit this historical home.

Similar tones were used in the laundry downstairs to create a cohesive flow. The laundry functions as a second kitchen for outdoor entertaining as it’s adjacent to the alfresco area.

The stunning butlers sink in the laundry is practical and a nod to the historical nature of the home.
